Mountain Cheese Dairy (A privilege to come along)
In between green meadows and mountain peaks we will find this jewel, an old traditional cheese dairy at 2000 metres above sea level. The approximately 220 cows, are up here in the summer, enjoying the freedom of the nature and every day the milk goes into the dairy. We can watch the "traditional" method of cheese production, all done by hand, just like 70 years ago, and then I guide you around a bit.
We talk about mountain farming, traditions and culture here with us. Enjoy the "huge" wonderful nature, have an easy stroll in between alpine flowers, or have a talk to the curious pigs. Perhaps you will see a few marmots also!
It is possible to start walking down half an hour before the minibus leaves, and we shall
then pick you up on the way down.
